Some clients really downplay their traumas. Whether you have one trauma or multiple, it is difficult for you. That automatically makes it important.

Trauma doesn’t just “go away”. It can manifest itself in the body in very unhealthy ways (extreme anger, addictions, etc). This is why it is important to process these traumas with a professional.

If you choose to work with me, know that I will never compare your situation to others. I also employ different modalities to make sure you get the most out of our sessions.

One of these is Internal Family Systems (IFS). IFS encourages the client to be compassionate and loving towards their wounded and traumatized parts. Another, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), was designed for a younger population, but I have taken parts of it to help treat adults as well.
